Wilson Loop Invariants from Conformal Blocks
Knot and link polynomials are topological invariants calculated from the
expectation value of loop operators in topological field theories. In 3D
Chern-Simons theory, these invariants can be found from crossing and braiding
matrices of four-point conformal blocks of the boundary 2D CFT. We calculate
crossing and braiding matrices for conformal blocks with one component in
the fundamental representation and another in a rectangular representation of
, which can be used to obtain HOMFLY knot and link invariants for these
cases. We also discuss how our approach can be generalized to invariants in
higher-representations of algebra.Comment: 20 pages, 2 figure
Isomonodromy, Painlev\'e Transcendents and Scattering off of Black Holes
We apply the method of isomonodromy to study the scattering of a generic
Kerr-NUT-(A)dS black hole. For generic values of the charges, the problem is
related to the connection problem of the Painlev\'e VI transcendent. We review
a few facts about Painlev\'e VI, Garnier systems and the Hamiltonian structure
of flat connections in the Riemann sphere. We then outline a method for
computing the scattering amplitudes based on Hamilton-Jacobi structure of
Painlev\'e, and discuss the implications of the generic result to black hole
complementarity.Comment: 40 pages, 4 figures, JHEP styl
Kerr-de Sitter Quasinormal Modes via Accessory Parameter Expansion
Quasinormal modes are characteristic oscillatory modes that control the
relaxation of a perturbed physical system back to its equilibrium state. In
this work, we calculate QNM frequencies and angular eigenvalues of Kerr--de
Sitter black holes using a novel method based on conformal field theory. The
spin-field perturbation equations of this background spacetime essentially
reduce to two Heun's equations, one for the radial part and one for the angular
part. We use the accessory parameter expansion of Heun's equation, obtained via
the isomonodromic -function, in order to find analytic expansions for the
QNM frequencies and angular eigenvalues. The expansion for the frequencies is
given as a double series in the rotation parameter and the extremality
parameter , where is the de Sitter radius and
and are the radii of, respectively, the cosmological and event
horizons. Specifically, we give the frequency expansion up to order
for general , and up to order with the
coefficients expanded up to . Similarly, the expansion for the
angular eigenvalues is given as a series up to with
coefficients expanded for small . We verify the new expansion for the
frequencies via a numerical analysis and that the expansion for the angular
eigenvalues agrees with results in the literature.Comment: 38+19 pages, 8 figures. v3: minor changes, matches published versio
Association between Oral Health Literacy and Socioeconomic Variables in Users of Centers for Dental Specialties
Objective: To test possible associations between Oral Health Literacy (OHL) level and socioeconomic covariates among users of Centers for Dental Specialties (CEOs). Material and Methods: The Health Literacy in Dentistry (HeLD-14) instrument was applied to 130 adult users of CEOs located in 13 municipalities in the state of São Paulo – Brazil, as well as socioeconomic issues. The researcher applied instruments in a specific room after randomly selecting individuals in the waiting room and invitation acceptance. Each item was ranked on a 5-point scale, ranging from 0 to 4, in which high scores indicate minimal difficulties in performing functions (high OHL) and low scores indicate very limited abilities to perform functions (low OHL). Statistical analysis using the Levene test was used to verify the possibility of using the one-way ANOVA test, and in case results show positive values (p>0.05), the Kruskal Wallis test was used. Results: The average age of participants was 45 years, with more than half being female (68.7%) with 9-11 years of schooling (48.4%). When considering the total value of HeLD-14 questions, OHL was associated with covariates schooling, marital status and family income. Conclusion: OHL levels were associated with socioeconomic variables, contributing to evidence in this field of specialized care
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of fungicides azoxystrobin (75g i.a./ha), azoxystrobin + ciproconazol (60g+24g), azoxystrobin (50g) + propiconazol (62,5g), propiconazol (125g), propiconazol + ciproconazol (75g+24g), pyraclostrobin + epoxiconazol (100g+37,5g), tebuconazol (150g) e trifloxystrobin + tebuconazol (75g+150g) to control wheat leaf diseases in cultivars Ônix and BRS Louro. The fungicides application was made by handle spray, with pressure generated by a flow rate of 200 L ha-1 of CO2, during the growth stages of four open leaves and elongation. Leaf incidence and severity were quantified at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after each application. The chemical control with fungicide provided significant increase on grain yield and weight of a thousand grains in both cultivars. There was no significant difference between fungicides in both cultivars, showing control efficiency over 70% by the severity criterion in the second application. The mixture of triazol and strobilurins had better control of leaf diseases in both cultivars.O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a eficácia dos fungicidas azoxistrobina (75g i.a./ha), azoxistrobina + ciproconazole (60g+24g), azoxistrobina (50g) + propiconazole (62,5g), propiconazole (125g), propiconazole + ciproconazole (75g+24g), piraclostrobina + epoxiconazole (100g+37,5g), tebuconazole (150g) e trifloxistrobina + tebuconazole (75g+150g) no controle de doenças foliares do trigo nas cultivares Ônix e BRS Louro.
